What are some games you use to play as a child during recess?

... I made up a game called: "the mayfly bash". You know those little may flies? those annoying things that only last for like, 2 days? Well I used to make my friends take their pencil cases and try to fling their cases in the air in a big swarm of mayflies, and when it lands back into their hands, see how many they caught. And if it were more then 10, bash them on the floor and stomp on them. (unless you had a metal case, which most of us had). If you had more then 20, you'd have to try to keep them for as long as you can in your pencil case without letting any escape or die. ... I know it's a weird game but, hey; it kept us interested in the country :)
