Do black people in high positions with very few minorities, know they got the position by Affirmative Action?

Just a few months ago a white guy with some pretty good qualifications applied for the Director position in my department. The black guy that came along had pretty good qualifications too but he also had more years of experience and an impeccable performance record. He got the job because he was more qualified for the job not because he was black. I'm glad he got the job because since he's been director things have really started to improve.
