Is this a crazy idea for "anchor babies"?

If a baby was born in the United States to illegal immigrants who came here illegally to have a baby, should the baby not be granted automatic citizenship until his or her 18th Birthday? It is just an idea, you are welcome to accept, reject, or help refine it.
